CM Trophy 2024 Judo Champions Crowned

The CM Trophy 2024 witnessed remarkable performances in the judo competition, with Chennai’s Akash Raj clinching his second consecutive gold medal in the college boys category. In the college girls 57kg category, Shobana S from Chengalpattu emerged victorious, surpassing her previous achievements.

In an intense gold medal match, Akash Raj faced off against his fellow Chennai teammate, Varun Raja US, ultimately securing the win. Similarly, Shobana S triumphed over Ramathilakam M, also from Chennai, in the final round of the competition.

The 2024 edition of the CM Trophy marked an important milestone as it saw the reintroduction of judo into the event’s program after being absent for a year. The competition showcased the skills and determination of the participants, highlighting the growing talent in the sport.
