Reigning World Chess Champion D Gukesh has partnered with OBT Sports & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. for exclusive commercial representation, setting out a plan to expand his brand presence in India and international markets.

Announced on October 15, 2026, the agreement places OBT in charge of developing commercial opportunities around the Indian grandmaster. The scope includes brand partnerships, endorsements, career and brand advisory, content collaborations and intellectual properties, with the stated focus on building a long-term commercial identity alongside Gukesh’s chess career.

The partnership is significant because it moves beyond a single endorsement arrangement.
