Privacy Policy

How Stepout2play handles information across player accounts, sports-event discovery, registration, payments, organizer services, certificates, and fulfilment.

Effective date: 29 July 2026

1.Who this policy applies to

This policy explains how Stepout2play processes personal data when players, parents or guardians, visitors, event organizers, and their representatives use our website and related services.

Questions about this policy can be sent to support@stepout2play.com.

2.Information we collect

Depending on how you use Stepout2play, we may collect:

  • Account information such as mobile number, email address, OTP authentication records, name, date of birth, gender, player slug, city, profile image, and sports preferences.
  • Registration information such as selected tournament and category, eligibility details, team or participant information, order and payment status, medal-delivery address, and certificate details.
  • Organizer information such as organization profile, contact details, event listings, schedules, rules, pricing, capacity, and registration records.
  • Content you submit, including activity proof, photographs, videos, profile content, and support messages.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, timestamps, referring pages, diagnostic logs, and security events.
  • Communication preferences and records of consent or withdrawal.

3.How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts, verify OTPs, and maintain player profiles.
  • Display events, check eligibility and availability, process registrations, and provide order, payment, certificate, and medal-delivery services.
  • Share necessary registration information with the organizer responsible for delivering an event.
  • Send transactional messages about OTPs, registrations, payments, deadlines, schedule changes, safety, and support.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve Stepout2play.
  • Comply with applicable law, lawful requests, accounting obligations, and dispute-resolution requirements.

4.Consent and choices

Where processing relies on consent, we will seek clear consent for the stated purpose. You may withdraw consent through available account controls or by contacting support. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and may prevent us from providing a feature that requires the relevant information.

You can manage non-essential communications from your profile when those controls are available. Transactional and security messages may still be sent when necessary to provide the service.

5.Payments

Payments may be handled by independent payment gateways, banks, UPI providers, or other payment partners. Stepout2play may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, method, and limited payer information needed to reconcile an order.

Do not send full card numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or OTPs to Stepout2play support. Payment partners process payment credentials under their own privacy terms.

6.When we share information

We may share only reasonably necessary information with:

  • Event organizers and operational partners that administer participation, results, certificates, awards, safety, fulfilment, or participant support.
  • Payment, hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, security, customer-support, and delivery providers acting for us.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, authorities, or courts when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • A successor involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Organizers may independently determine how participant data is used for their events. Review event-specific notices and contact the relevant organizer about that processing.

7.Public profiles and uploaded content

Your player slug and information you intentionally publish may be visible to other users or search engines. Results, certificates, achievements, and media may also be public when the feature clearly indicates this.

Do not upload another person's personal data or media without permission. Private registration and payment information is not intended for public display.

8.Children

A parent or lawful guardian must authorize a child's use of Stepout2play and event participation where required by law. We may request age information and verifiable parental consent before processing a child's personal data.

Organizers must not use children's data for tracking, behavioural monitoring, targeted advertising, or activity likely to cause harm. A guardian may contact us to request review, correction, or deletion, subject to lawful event-record obligations.

9.Retention and deletion

We retain information only as long as needed for account operation, event delivery, certificates and results, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Retention periods may differ by data type and organizer obligation.

When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to backups and lawful retention requirements.

10.Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No online system is completely secure, so users should protect their devices, OTPs, passwords, and account access.

Service providers may process information outside your state or country. Where applicable, we use contractual and technical safeguards and follow restrictions issued under Indian law.

11.Your rights and grievances

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for information about processing, correction or completion of inaccurate data, erasure, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal. You may also nominate another person to exercise applicable rights in the event of death or incapacity.

Send a request from your registered email address or mobile number to support@stepout2play.com. We may verify your identity before acting.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service, our practices, or applicable law changes. We will publish the revised effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal data is used.
