Pankaj Advani and Shruthi L Win 2026 World Billiards Titles
Pankaj Advani and Shruthi L have been crowned the men’s and women’s 2026 World Billiards Champions respectively after title-winning performances at the Landywood Snooker Club in the United Kingdom.
Advani defeated Robert Hall 1906-1206 in the men’s final to claim his fourth World Billiards Championship crown. Shruthi had secured the women’s title a day earlier, beating Eva Palmius 414-153 and recording a high break of 105 in the final.
The two victories gave India both championship titles at the 2026 event. For Advani, the result marked a return to the top of the world championship after his previous success in 2014. For Shruthi, it extended an already remarkable run, with the women’s crown won for a third consecutive year.
Advani claims fourth world championship
Advani overcame England’s Hall, a nine-time world champion, by a 1906-1206 margin in the men’s final. The victory delivered Advani’s fourth World Billiards Championship title.
His earlier world championship wins came in 2005, 2009 and 2014. The 2026 triumph was therefore his first at the event since the 2014 title, ending a 12-year gap between his third and fourth crowns.
The final score underlined the decisive nature of Advani’s win over Hall. Hall entered the match with nine world titles to his name, but Advani finished the contest 700 points ahead to add another major honour to his record at the World Billiards Championship.
Advani’s fourth title places the 2026 result alongside his championship victories from 2005, 2009 and 2014. The Landywood Snooker Club final was the latest chapter in that sequence, with the Indian cueist once again lifting the men’s trophy.
The men’s success followed Shruthi’s victory in the women’s final on Thursday. Her result ensured that India had already captured one of the two titles before Advani took to the table against Hall.
Shruthi completes a third straight women’s crown
Shruthi defeated Sweden’s Eva Palmius 414-153 in the women’s World Billiards Championship final. Alongside the commanding scoreline, she produced a high break of 105 during the title clash.
The result made Shruthi a three-time consecutive women’s world champion. She had previously won the championship in 2024 and 2025, before retaining the title again in 2026.
Her latest final brought a third straight victory at the event and maintained an unbroken championship run across the 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions. The 105 high break was a notable part of her final performance against Palmius.
With Shruthi’s hat-trick completed and Advani back as men’s champion, the 2026 World Billiards Championship concluded with both titles in Indian hands. Advani’s fourth crown and Shruthi’s third consecutive women’s triumph were the defining results from the finals at Landywood Snooker Club.
