Cristiano Ronaldo Hat-Trick Powers Al-Nassr Past Al Kholood

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick, including a standout free-kick, as Al-Nassr secured a 5-3 victory over Al Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday. The Portugal forward struck three times in the space of 15 minutes after the match had been level at 2-2, turning the contest decisively in Al-Nassr’s favour.

Ronaldo scored in the 66th, 72nd and 81st minutes to complete the treble. His goals were his 983rd, 984th and 985th in professional football for club and country, leaving him 15 short of the 1,000-goal milestone cited in the report.

Three goals in 15 minutes decide the match

The score was tied at 2-2 when Ronaldo began his scoring run in the 66th minute. He added a second six minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 81st minute, with Al-Nassr going on to win 5-3.

The free-kick was the most notable of Ronaldo’s three goals. It formed part of a rapid sequence that transformed a level game into an Al-Nassr win, while also adding another landmark chapter to the forward’s long scoring record.

Following the match, Ronaldo acknowledged both the result and the team contribution in a social-media post. He wrote: “Great win, great team performance. Happy to help with a hat-trick!”

The treble was Ronaldo’s 67th career hat-trick in professional football, according to the report. Of those, 44 came for Real Madrid, 10 for Portugal, three for Manchester United, three for Juventus and seven for Al-Nassr.

For Al-Nassr, the immediate significance was the 5-3 league victory. Ronaldo’s contribution came at a key stage, with the game still balanced before his first goal in the 66th minute. His second and third goals followed quickly, and the final score reflected the impact of that spell.

Ronaldo moves closer to the 1,000-goal mark

Ronaldo’s three goals took his professional total to 985, placing him 15 goals away from 1,000. The report described him as the frontrunner to reach that mark and noted a 49-goal lead over Lionel Messi, who was listed on 936 professional goals.

The hat-trick also affected the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot race. Ronaldo moved into third place with seven goals so far, level with Mateo Retegui and Youssef En-Nesyri. Tijjani Reijnders was reported to be one goal ahead on eight, while Ivan Toney led the scoring chart with 12.

Ronaldo arrived in the match after his Ballon d’Or Of All Time triumph and left it with another individual milestone. More importantly for Al-Nassr, his three goals supplied the decisive surge in a high-scoring win over Al Kholood.

The result and the hat-trick keep the focus on two parallel storylines: Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League campaign and Ronaldo’s pursuit of a 1,000-goal career total. Against Al Kholood, the forward moved both narratives forward with a free-kick and two further strikes in a 15-minute burst.
